Psychic Night at the Carlton Theatre

There are a couple of outings planned before Christmas (Psychic night at the Carlton Theatre 15/11/08, and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the Princess Theatre on December 12th).

The local theatre here in Teignmouth has a variety of different shows and acts from Amateur dramatics to historical tours ‘Through the Ages in Teignmouth Film Show’.  Last Christmas those clients that had a fascination of Psychic performances went to see Sally Morgan who was appearing at the Carlton Theatre for a few nights. I do believe that they are still fascinated!

Open Day

An ‘Open Day’ was held at Nightingale House just before Christmas which proved to be very successful. Families and friends were able to visit their loved ones. They spent the afternoon being entertained by Richie James, who was able to play and sing many of the old and new songs as well as providing banter and commentary - a very versatile performer.

Panto Time

Teignmouth is located on the South West Coast, with Sidouth, Exmouth and Dawlish to the east and Babbacombe, Torquay and Paignton to the west.  Pantomimes are the order of the season and every New Year many of these holiday towns will have Pantomimes of various descriptions.

KorCare clients all have the opportunity to select a Pantomime and travel with staff to the show. This year it was Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the Princess TheatreTorquay – New Year Pantomimes never fail to be entertaining and 24 clients went to see the show over two evening sessions – and have already expressed the wish to go again next New Year !
